hello doctor. this is yatheesh. i had plural effusion on last year. then they got the fluid out and checked. then they found that i have tuberclausis. after that i got 6+ months drugs. finaly they told treatment completed. after 5 months i am having a pain in my chest while taking a deap breath. what is this?
Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
i am not taking any medicines now. i have finished the TB drugs before 6 months

it suggests that you still have TB infection , mainly due to incomplete adherence to full six month treatment course , and also it might be due to antibiotic resistance
The treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis is approximately six months .
Four antibiotics are given which are : rifampicin, isoniazid, pyrazinamide and ethambutol in the first two months.
Then in the last four months, rifampicin and isoniazid are given only .
If resistant tuberculosis is detected, treatment is recommended for 18-24 months using at least four active antibiotics
