Treatment of cat bite

It is common to experience cat bit or animals which increase suspicion of rabies infection. Based on your question, i see the following

• Usually, cats do not transmit rabies thus do not worry and rabies mainly is transmitted but infected dogs just thus do not worry
• You have to use antibacterial cream like fuscidin cream on bit area to prevent inflammation
• Also, course of antibiotic like Augmentin 625 mg twice daily for seven days in addition to analgesics like ibuprofen 400 mg three times daily
• No need for rabies vaccination and anti toxoid injection thus do not worry

Symptoms of rabies

There are large groups of symptoms like the following

• Fever
• Nausea and vomiting
• Headache
• Anxiety
• Agitation
• Hyperactivity
• Insomnia
• Hallucination
