Treatment of macular edema

It is common eye condition that result from accumulation of fluid within layers of retina which result in macular edema. Evaluation and treatment of like condition is by the following

• At first you have to seek for medical help and be examined by your ophthalmologist to determine type of edema you have
• DM is one of the commonest cause of retinal edema thus you have to control your blood glucose level
• Previously, treatment was laser photocoagulation but these days there are many different choices like Anti - VEGF injection thus you can ask your doctor about these injections
• Other drugs like Ozurdex and Retistart also can be used

Symptoms of macular edema

Symptoms like the following

• Blurred vision
• Wavy vision
• Colors problem
• Vision loss
