Treatment of fibroid:

• if the fibroid did not cause any problems like heavy menstruation or abdominal pain then there is no need to treat them
• if they do cause the previously mentioned problems then a treatment is a must
• you can take medications like: levonorgestrel, cabergoline or danazol
• interventional radiology can treat the fibroid by embolizing the artery that supplies the fibroid
• or you can remove it surgically

Diagnosis of fibroid:

• clinical evaluation
• sonography for the abdomin and pelvis
• transvaginal sonography
• magnatic resonance imaging of the uterus

Causes of fibroid:

• the are no clear causes of fibroid
• it is related to genetic inheritance to some people
