Yes it might lead to coma if the appropriate and necessary investigation and precaution is not been taken well.
For example, if a patient is sensitive to certain types of anesthesia and this is not taken in consideration it might cause shock and coma.
As well as the necessary preparation of patient if not done it might increase risk of patient to coma.
Shock
Inadequate anesthesia
Massive blood loss
Idiopathic
