2. Topical psoralen plus ultraviolet A-PUVA.
3. Oral psoralen photochemotherapy-PUVA.
4. Narrow-band Ultraviolet “B” (nbUVB) therapy.
5. Depigmentation.
What are the side effects of topical PUVA?
1. Severe sunburn and blistering.
2. -Too much repigmentation or darkening of the treated patches or the normal surrounding skin hyperpigmentation.
What are the side effects of oral PUVA?
1. sunburn.
2. nausea and vomiting.
3. itching.
4. abnormal hair growth.
5. and too much repigmentation or darkening of the treated patches or the normal surrounding skin-hyperpigmentation.
6. If received for longer periods of time, this type of treatment may increase your risk of skin cancer.
