Treatment of red eye

It is one of the commonest complain that affect high percentage of people due to many factors and causes. Evaluation and treatment of like condition is by the following

• If your eye is red without other symptoms like pain or eye discharge, it is due to allergic reaction of your eye.
• You can wash your eyes with clean cold water many times daily.
• Use betamethasone eye drops four times daily.
• Use chloramphenicol eye oint. three times daily
• If symptoms do not improved within days of treatment , seek for medical examination with an ophthalmologist.

Causes of red eye

The commonest causes are the following

• Allergic conjunctivitis
• Viral or bacterial infections of eyes
• Traumatic red eye
