Welcome! How can I help with your medical question?
I have been using oral family pills but this time my period came with too much pain at both of my sides of waist and below my stomach it's now the third day with pain non stop.. What medicine can I use?
Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
No medication yet but I only use the family planning pills
Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Nothing apart from the pain that even if I have something to do in bed with my partner I felt the pain both sides that's ol

Regarding your question,
Period pain is common and a normal part of your menstrual cycle.
What should you do with painful period?
- Take a hot shower
- use pain reliever medication like naproxen
- putting a heat pad or hot water bottle
- light, circular massage around your lower abdomen may also help reduce pain
- relaxing activities, such as yoga
If the pain cannot be tolerable, gynaecologist may need to carry out:
- urine or blood test
- pelvic ultrasound
- laparoscopy
- hysteroscopy
Other conditions that can cause period pain and need referral to a specialist
- endometriosis
- fibroids
- pelvic inflammatory disease
- adenomyosis
- intrauterine device (IUD)
