Treatment of IBS

IBS or irritable bowel syndrome is a condition that affect large colon with a group of symptoms due to unknown causes . Treatment of like condition is by the following

• At first, you have to do tests to get a proper diagnosis as you said you did not do any tests till know thus you have to do tests which i will mentioned.
• Avoid stress and depression as you can because irritability irritate the colon at IBS patients and exacerbate symptoms
• Avoid eating foods that you notice increase symptoms
• Get enough sleep and exercise regularly.
• Taking fiber supplements like metamucil with fluids can control constipation if you experience constipation
• anti diarrheal drugs like lepromide control diarrhea
• dicyclomine drugs used to relieve bowel spasm and pain
• Bloating and abdominal pain can be controlled with lyrica drug.

Symptoms of IBS

There are many symptoms like the following

• Abdominal pain, cramping and bloating
• Excess gas
• Diarrhea or constipation
• Mucus in stool
• IBS does not cause weight loss or blood in stool

Diagnosis of IBS

Diagnosis is made clinically, but there are many tests you have to do like

• CBC,
• ESR , CRP
• Celiac disease tests
• Colonoscopy
