• Bed rest is very important in case of herpes zoster infection
• Your doctor will prescribe Analgesics such as iburofen or other medications
• Anti-histamine to relieve itching
• Cold compressors several times per day
• Antiviral medication like acyclovir is taking 5 times per day for one week to treat the condition and prevent it's complications
