Hi Dr. I have blood clots in my lungs. I had treatment 3 weeks before, now I m using APIXABAN tablets. Suddenly I feel short of breathing and swelling in my body and pain my feet feeling dizziness sweating. So please advise me what should I so thanx.
Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
APIXABAN 5mg 2 times a day
Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
I was using birth control pills.

What are the side effects of apixaban?
- bleeding from stomach,brain,eyes
- Rash and serious allergic reactions
- Dizziness or passing out.
- Feeling tired or weak.
- Feeling confused.
- Headache.
- Joint pain or swelling.
- Chest pain or pressure.
- Wheezing.
This side effect is a commom one from apixaban
what should i do ?
- you shoud be examined by your doctor when
- If you have an allergy
- there is active bleeding
- if you have liver problems
- do the following :
- CBC
- chestx_ray
- coagulation profile
- liver function test
