There are two options for abortion

•  medical abortion : you take two medications, usually 24 to 48 hours apart

 let it dissolves under your tongue or between your cheek and gum, or put inside your vagina
within four to six hours, the lining of the uterus breaks down, causing bleeding and loss of the pregnancy

• surgical abortion : you have a minor procedure to remove the pregnancy like vacuum or suction aspiration procedure or dilatation and evacuation (D&E)

Risks of an abortion

• excessive bleeding

• damage to the cervix
• infection of the uterus
